by Jennie Lee Riddle and Robbie Seay, produced by Michael Farren (Pocket Full of Rocks). This is a modern day English adaptation of the original lyric from Venez, Divin Messie, a 16th century French carol by Abbot Simon-Joseph Pellegrin (1663-1745).
The brand new melody and newly created bridge help bring this beloved song back to life. Although originally intended to celebrate the advent of the Messiah's birth, the writers took the liberty of expanding Pellegrin's message to include the long-awaited advent of Christ's glorious return.
