NEW NATION MUSIC

Jennie Riddle founded New Nation Music, a ministry dedicated to strengthening, equipping, and encouraging the Bride towards complete devotion to Christ and His work.

New Nation Music began as a result of discerning the need for the Church to have scripture-based doctrine written upon both heart and mind and from a desire to cultivate generational unity and authentic respect in the Family of God. Through the use of teaching, theologically rich songs, ministers of varying ages, and a variety of genres, they offer themselves to the Church, inviting all age groups to join together in unified worship. It is our hope to help reintroduce generations to one another by fostering love for the entire Bride of Christ while simultaneously training a young generation of musicians to yield their talents as servants to the Bride at large. This broken world desperately needs the Family of God and as followers of Jesus, we will all be known by our love for one another. May we all be equipped and ready to offer authentic hospitality to our world as His sons and daughters in our days.

Jennie Riddle, Will Yates and Crystal Yates

In July of 2009 The Riddle family (Darrin, Jennie, Daniel, Emily, David, Andrew) and the Yates family (Will, Crystal, Hayden) took the bold and obedient step to go into full time service together for New Nation Music. Believing that, although time on this earth is short, lives, when empowered by Christ and lived for others, can yield eternity's fruit and leave behind lasting change.

To that end and with a common vision and purpose, the Riddles and the Yates joined together in life at the hilltop home of the Riddle's in McKinney Texas, dwelling together (how many lawnmowers are really needed anyways?) in order to be efficient with time and resources, thus freeing them to travel and minister at every possible opportunity. They also have a room available in their collective large home for songwriters who want to spend an intensive week honing their craft. They call this the 'Tuck Me Inn -Bed and Breakfast.' You can contact them to find out availability of this unique opportunity to work with gifted and proven servants.

Darrin and Jennie Riddle - have been married for 22 years and they have four children (Daniel, age 20, majoring in Civil Engineering at OSU, Emily age 18 traveling with New Nation Music as part of the band and also as an artist, David age 17 singer/songwriter/high school student and band member, and Andrew, an old soul at age 12, chief NNM volunteer and future NNM employee).Their home has become the 'base of operations' for the New Nation Music team where they live and work together.

Jennie Riddle and family

Darrin Riddle, the only non-musician in the house, holds down the day job in telecommunications in order to actively support, cover, and send. "He really is the undergirding glue that holds us all together", they all agree, and "he is the stable personality that keeps us sane, laughing, and relatively normal."

Jennie Riddle is the primary songwriter, teacher, mentor, visionary and founder of New Nation Music. She is one of the worship leaders and primary bgv (back-ground vocals). She spends her days writing, recording, managing, and hostessing co-writers when not leading worship and teaching. Jennie has a true heart for artists and has over the years mentored and trained dozens of young talent. Having spent many years as the Dean of Student Life and Fine Arts Director at a Christian school, she now finds many of her former students amongst her closest friends and she has the privilege of ministering alongside several of them today, as she still seeks to foster, nourish, and support the gifts and calls that she sees in them.

Will and Crystal Yates are pastors and artists with a true calling and gifting to transparently and honestly lead God’s people into worship through excellent and anointed music. They have been married for 12 years and have been leading worship together for 11 years. They have one son, Hayden (12) who is a Lucas Academy Student (LCA) and the joy of his parents heart.

Will Crystal and Hayden Yates

Will Yates Has led worship for 15 years(licensed pastor for 7) and has a strong gift to work with worship bands, discerning areas that need work. He also has the ability to bring a new found unity to the entire team allowing for an easier 'flow' during service and a greater level of encouragement for those who are participating. Will keeps all the plates spinning at warp speed for New Nation Music, handles all day to day operations and coordinates all travel; This in addition to being the New Nation Music band director, one of the primary worship leaders, bgv, and lead acoustic guitarist, pianist, and one of the audio engineers. He has a "honey do list" a mile long between Crystal and Jennie, greatly earning Darrin's sympathy and kudos. We lovingly refer to him as a swiss army knife and "mom." He does it all.

Crystal Yates is the primary vocalist for both live performances and recordings, bringing not only songs to life but the atmosphere around her. Crystal has a sound ministry heart and brings true spiritual help and encouragement behind the scenes, making her platform life authentic and trustworthy. She co-writes with Jennie, acts as photographer for New Nation Music, and weekly delights the Riddle/Yates family with her culinary skills. The woman can throw down in the kitchen! Be looking for her solo project EP coming out in mid 2011!

Emily and David Riddle

Emily Riddle is the percussionist, ukulele player, one of the primary worship leaders and bgv's, personal assistant to Jennie, and tutor for Andrew and Hayden.

She is a gifted singer/songwriter and just released her first CD entitled Happy In A Melancholy Way (recorded at church and every room of Riddle home). New Nation Music is happy to boast this as its first project.

David Riddle is the New Nation Music bass, banjo, harmonica, mandolin, mountain dulcimer and acoustic guitar player. He is also a full-time high school student who moonlights with the New Nation Music band as his schedule permits. He tickles the family funny bone on a moment by moment basis.
